Guest guest
Hi ladies, I discovered that I have a unicornuate uterus during the October 13th c-section delivery of my beautiful baby boy, . Although he was a tad premature (35 weeks gestation), he was strong and healthy and perfect in every way! The doctor who performed the c-section was surprised that I was able to carry him to 35 weeks, and also surprised that it only took us 2 months to conceive him. I was a little peeved with her conduct in the operating room because she treated me like a sideshow freak. I guess nobody in the room had actually ever seen a UU before. I was still lying on the operating table and hadn't even seen my son yet when she told me that I had this rare abnormality and that I was lucky to get pregnant, and that I may never get pregnant again...blah, blah, blah...oh, and that i may be missing a kidney to boot! You think that she could have at least waited until after I was in recovery to tell this stuff. --------------------------------- Post your free ad now! Yahoo! Guest guest
Welcome to our little group. Geez what boneheads our doctors can be sometimes! How can she say you may never get pg again???? How uncaring and thoughtless. And about only having one kidney. That sometimes happens with MAs. Has something to do with the fact that there just isn't " room " for both to form, I think. The uterus or other stuff gets in the way. I just asked for them to check that I had two kidneys during an u/s. I do, but I believe a few women on the list do only have one.
