Guest guest Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Hi everbody, I wanted to say hi and glad to be a member, I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for almost three years and have been adjusting to the fact I have this and have spent alot of time adjusting to this horrible disease, that has robbed me of my quality of life, big time! I have this, along with arthritis. Doctors have not been very helpful, at all. I feel as though I they treat me like a whiner because I do visit the clinic and emergency at least once a month but there are so many symptoms and concerns and I can't find straight answers and don't get the testing I ask for. I am in alot of pain, my nerves are shot, I don't sleep, and have trouble concentrating or retaining information, and I just went back to college which I am having trouble, but keep on trucking. When I look at the symptoms listed for Fibro, I have most of them,it upsets me, but I am trying to understand it and find methods of what works, thats one reason I wanted to join, and hopefully what I learn I may be able to pass along to you. I realize I need support from people who are in the same awful boat as myself, I feel for all of you! Look forward to chatting and reading messages. Thank you! God Bless! Quote

Guest guest Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 You need a doctor who understands and treats fibromyalgia. Your symptoms will never improve if you arent getting treatment. In the very least you need a good sleep medication. Dont fall for that we line, that they dont want to give you meds because, " you might get addicted " .Untreated pain can lead to high blood pressure and all the problems associated with it. deb > Quote
