Guest guest
Welcome Rin You will find many answers here but be prepared to find just as many questions on your journey. We are scattered far and wide so you will hear from many different people who have had experience with this disease. We have posted lists of Dr before so I will see if I can pull a couple up for you. Some of the people who live a little closer to your area can give you better advice on the Dr. Charmayne's page is also another good place to start so we will post some of those things for you. Keep reading and watching and welcome to our world. Sally in KS
Guest guest
Hi Rin, I'm Judy Whittaker, wife and caregiver for Mark Whittaker, dx'd in November '96 at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. You may want to give Dr. Sid Gilman at the University of Michigan a thought. He dx'd my husband after a couple of years trying to find out exactly what was wrong with him. Ann Arbor would be closer for you than Vanderbilt even though I'm sure Vanderbilt would be as good. We moved to Hilton Head Island, SC in November '96 from Ohio. I am from Greenville, Ohio but we lived in Wilmington, OH. Our plan was to travel from Greenville up to Ann Arbor and back in the same day which would have worked fine except we hit one of those great ice storms on the way home. We were prepared so we spent the night before returning to Greenville the next day. Dr. Gilman is one of the top researchers in MSA/Shy-Drager and a wonderful person. Just thought I'd try to help. Take Care, Judy Whittaker
