Is your insurance Kaiser Northern California, Holly? Just wondering...! We've all had to jump through a lot of hoops. Kaiser may have an age requirement - I'm not sure. Anyhow, welcome!!!

My name is Holly, and I am 19 years old. I have a BMI of approximately 59, and I am 5'2". I am currently in the process of having the open RNY bypass. My insurance has denied my first request to have surgery, and I am currently in the process of appealling it, since I was denied because I am 19.I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?I have already met with my surgeon, and done all of my pre-op testing, so all I have left is the all to common, mess with the insurance.
