thanks everyone, for your kind words about jim & jason's 2nd anniversary of their 12/7/01 living related transplant. while daughter #1 was with her beloved up in valencia, & yours truly was out in arizona w/daughter #2 ( & her beloved & his family), father & son marked the occasion by squeezing in a brief albeit very enjoyable, lunch together before jason headed back to church (in preparation of some evening time special holiday thing) and jim plunked himself down in front of the tube to catch some nascar... just the way jim loves to spend his sunday afternoons!

i relayed all your sweet posts to jim. we are all very touched by the love, support & caring from this wonderful group of people. much credit goes to the very fine members of this group who helped us get through "that" difficult time.

*sigh* that sounds as good a segue to "this" difficult time as any.

dear cheryl, leona, john & kath, joanne, tina, lisa, dee, tim r, aubrey, darin, cindy, sarah, janie, terri, barbaraUK... ( & anyone else who i've neglected to mention, as i know i'm still missing some yahooey psc posts):

i can't even begin to explain to what depth your kind words, your support, and most of all, your prayers mean to me... but thank you so much. cheryl, thanks so much for making that post for me while i was out of town.

and please, everyone, anyone, as God would put us on your heart, i would ask that you continue the support! losing a parent is excruciatingly hard, as some of you well know... but i think i was probably wise to go into self-protection mode, years ago, & pre-envision that nothing about this difficult time, with respect to my siblings and such, would be "normal." what's normal, anyway? but if there's normalcy to be found in the world anywhere, it sure as shoot-howdy does not exist in my family tree. :-)

you're all an amazing bunch of people that i am so proud to know. if you'd be willing to indulge me, then i'd like to do a "cindy's saga" sorta thing, and make a few posts... only because i know you'll be of immense help, just as surely as you were through all the "catbert" stuff. btw -- catbert called yesterday a.m., & she was the most loving & supportive as i've ever known her to be... & we've known each other 30+ years. she recently lost her mom, and she & i shared issues (such as abandonment, divorced parents, being abused), so that's got to figure into why she reached out.

someone let me know if if the saga posts should commence. dang, you people are not gonna believe some of this stuff!

love,

maureen
