Guest guest
Lori <<<Greetings from 'rock and rollin' Central California! At 10:15 this morning there we had a 6.0 earthquake centered about 21 miles north east of here. There are no reports of any damage or injuries (unlike the 12/22/03 quake). >> I'm a bit north of you and woke to the part of the news that said " quake " but didn't catch where. Gees, you guys are sure getting it this year, aren't you? >>>Here in our Dispatch center, the quakes have to be over 4.0 to really be felt, and 'boy howdy' I felt THIS one!!! We have been having LOTS of aftershocks!!!>> I THINK the report (remember, just waking with NO coffee at that point) said something like 90 already? I didn't feel the initial jerk (so knew it was distant), but this one just " rolled " forever (it felt like 2+ minutes). It looks like the San s Fault at Parkfield will be a while before it " locks " again (nearly 400 small aftershocks as of this minute).
