Hi Tim,

You are absolutely spot on. With the exception of a couple of

honourable listers such as Vale who, like me, is a McMinn

hippie veteran and advocat, we tend to drift away from the site as

our resurfaced hips do the job they're meant to do and we forget

about the operation!

I think was in hospital the week before me in November '99. I

had my 2nd hip resurfaced 4 months ago and they are both doing so

well. If anything, number 2 hip is back up to speed quicker than the

first one.

I honestly believe these hips will go on forever and my lifestyle

reflects this. Call it an act of faith or whatever, I don't really

know what's going on inside my body, but it sure feels good!

Must go, I've a tough tennis match tonight and a few people to duff

up on court who, a couple of years ago, bet I'd never be able to beat

them again.... but then what did they know about re-surfacing!?!

Regards to all,

Dunn

> I just joined the group so I don't know what you found out but here

is my experience. I'm 33 yrs. old and fairly active. In Dec. 2000 I

received a Conserve Plus from Dr. Amstutz at JRI in Los Angeles. I

went water skiing two weeks ago and I felt great. I've done more in

the last three months then I did in the last three years before my

surgery. It's been a great improvement to my life. I have no pain

and my family says I'm in a much better mood nowdays. I feel my hip

is about 95% of normal with the only limitation being that I cannot

do extended running. I would definitely recommend this procedure to

anybody with painful hip arthritis.>
