I went for about 3 years without really laughing and I didn't realize how much I missed it until I came out. It took 3 years of prozac dosing and then quitting cold turkey without my doctor's knowledge to finally get myself back. I noticed after the depression problem was resolved I didn't really feel any emotion to extreme and I missed it. I don't advocate anyone doing it the way I did it. I was becoming concerned that prozac is actually only recommended for use less than 6 months and I'd been on it a while longer than that. I work in a mental institution, so I did seek the advice of the psychiatrists there before just stopping the medication. Fortunately my depression was never bad enough that I'd have considered suicide, I was just having some trouble coping with what life was dishing out at the time, so I was on the lowest dose anyway. Now that I'm taking Armour, I'm feeling better all the time. I'm hoping that I'll reach my optimum dose soon, but in the meantime, I love being able to laugh again and my honey makes sure I laugh frequently when he's around. ) Kathy >^,,^< KitzCat146@... http://www.chaytongroup.com/modernbill/order/index.php?aid=ka081104 http://www.heartwarmers4u.com/members/?kitzcat kitzcat2001 on Yahoo Messenger kitzcat on MSN Messenger In a cat's eyes, all things belong to cats. - English Proverb __________________________________________________ Quote
