Does anyone know how long it takes to drop the extra punds that one put

on because of the hypothroid? I've been taking medication for two

months now and I feel much better when it comes to having energy but I

still can't drop the weight. Does anyone have any Ideas?

A very common question and concern for us all, weight.... First you have to concentrate on your hormone levels and make sure that they are right.. then you can worry more about the weight.

Two months isn't a lot of time for the body to adjust to things... you're dose is very likely not right yet...

Do you have copies of your labs, with ranges, so that we can take a peek at how your body is responding to your meds?

What was your diagnosis, why are you hypo and taking replacement hormone?

Which brand of med (replacement hormone) are you on?

Are you avoiding goitrogens like Soy, High Fructose Corn Syrup, vegies in the cabbage family?

What is your resting heart rate (I ask that as an indicator of your metabolic rate)?

Are you eating enough calories to stimulate your metabolism, or have you dropped your calorie intake too low and triggered 'starvation mode' in your body?

That's a start... lets see what can be worked on to help you.
