Now, I'm one of those curmudgeons that don't like babies. Or kids, for that matter. <grin> Everybody always finds it odd (apparently women are supposed to have mothering instincts that make 'em go all soft and gushy over babies) that I don't join the gaggle around any baby brought into Dispatch for Show And Tell. THREE of our dispatchers are on maternity leave right now, and a fourth is due to deliver in August. (That's out of a staff of fifteen dispatchers....) Trust me, I bring my bottled water from home - no drinking any of the stuff in the water cooler at work!
