Guest guest
I'm going to my first Conference, and I'm excited, too. Perhaps I'll see you there. Guest guest
Well, do everything twice..once for you and again for me! I won't be making it there this year. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I might be able to talk the powers that be into sending me to Denver next year. Have fun! Freida > Who all is going to the APCO Confrence in Montreal in 2 weeks?? Guest guest
To the best of my knowledge, and through the largesse of my sister, my friends and the conjunction of various heavenly bodies (I guess), I will be attending the APCO Conference in Montreal. I'll be traveling on air miles donated by my sister. (She hasn't confirmed flight information yet, so this all may fall apart between now and then...) Then, through the eagle-eyed discovery of an APCO member who pays attention to things like that, I was able to arrange Conference fees that I could afford. (APCO offered complimentary Conference fees for members attending a symposium... and I was able to pay for that other event... which got the Conference fees covered.) Although I've returned to work and just this past week actually managed to work an entire 40 hours over 5 days in a row, I am not earning any overtime AND I've still got incredible medical bills to pay. But.... <juvenile foot-stomp> I deserve a vacation for having had to undergo treatment for breast cancer, so there. I had surgery last August instead of my usual attendance at the annual Conference. This is what I want to do with some of my very few remaining leave credits. I'll be subsisting on Conference meals, vendor fete snacks, free hotel coffee and pillow mints, but I am planning on being there! -- Happy to be here, proud to serve.
