Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, and a special

thanks to Doreen and Barry for their daily phone calls.

The pain from breathing is no longer bringing me to tears, although I

still feel as if I have a rather large elephant sitting on my chest.

The medications are definitely helping, but not as quickly as I

hoped. I have spent the majority of the weekend in bed sleeping, but

obviously my body needed the sleep in order to heal itself.

I have to drive 4 hours to Lake of the Ozarks to teach an eight-hour

class this week, and quite honestly I don't know how I'm going to do

it...but do it I will, just as I have always done. Hell, I beat

cancer..I can surely teach a class with little thing like double

pneumonia! As long as I have Halls cough drops and soft Kleenex all

will go well, although I'll undoubtedly have to refer to my notes

often because I can't remember what day it is, let alone all the

information I wrote for the class.

I go back to work tomorrow, and then I'm off on vacation for 6 days.

My 41st birthday is Tuesday, and I have a sneaking suspicion I will

be spending it in bed, staying warm under my electric blanket as the

odor of Vicks vapor rub drifts up from my chest. Of course I have

the melodious hum of the vaporizer to lull me to sleep.
