We had 7 teenagers killed in a police chase a couple of weeks ago, and it is finally calming down from it. Hopefully they will find this man quickly, and hopefully the kids. The kids are fine... He was found, shot himself in the head and is in serious condition. Chicago 9-1-

Troutman, NC North Mecklenburg Emergency Communications sville Police Communications Iredell County Emergency Communications www.nc911.com <http://www.nc911.com> 911:: Unfortunately we have made the news Wow, what a day. I came to work this morning and literally got a bomb dropped in my lap. I was briefed on the quadruple homicide that I am sure you all have heard about by now. I have been a dispatcher for almost 7 yrs and to my knowledge our small rural county has never had anything like this before. We made it to the news a couple of years ago for the lady who overheard the table of men in a local Shoney's and they said that they were going to blow up something in Florida. I cant recall all the details. In case you dont know the details: one of our deputies did a welfare check on a residence and he decided to make forced entry into the residence based on details that the mother of the children gave him. He discovered 4 victims to a very violent murder. 3 adults and an infant were found. Suspect is Jerry . He is also the suspect to the abduction of 3 other children. 2 are his biological and 1 is a step-child. There is a nationwide BOLO for him and the children. Our local newspaper's website is: www.calhountimes.com There is very good news on that site. It is very accurate, as there are a fewer details in the larger online publications. WE of course got the Levis Call alert and were horrified with the circumstances. I am somewhat familar with your area and I know how rural it is. The entire community must be in shock! What agency do you actually work for and how are you all coping? I hope that everyone is getting the assistance they need to deal with this.. Thank goodness though that the children are now fine and with their mother, as everyone believes that they should be there. Take care of yourselves.
