Guest guest Posted August 20, 2002 Report Share Posted August 20, 2002 Well.... I went to the ortho a few weeks ago and I got a slap on the wrist for not wearing the bands as I should... I was supposed to get my braces off this week but instead wont get them off till next month because of the stunt I pulled. You can bet your sweet bum I have these babies in now! I finally posted a before pic today ... so check it out and see what you think. As far as liking the results.. the surgery served its purpose. I am still getting used to the new face ...I was told yesterday by my pcp that at 5plus months I wont be getting too much more feeling back then I have now... whaddya think of that? I am not pleased considering I cant feel more then 75% of my gums which make chewing hard and I also bite the inside of my cheeks. Friends who havent seen me since before the surgery love the way I look... I guess I am just plagued w/ the day to day boring ness (is that a word?) of it all. At any rate hope you are doing well and I dont have much to say in the way of the bands .. just hang in there and wear them diligently!
