Guest guest
Thank you to everyone but I have to appologise. I guess I was in a pitty party by myself. I am not happy but I am now handing things over to to have him fix things. He is a bit more ..? insisting ?... than I am. I would also like to explain to the new parents here that life isn't as horrible as it seems. Patty is one of the most interesting individuals I have ever met. She has accomplished more than any doctor or teacher has ever said she could. With each step she has met every new stage with such drive and determination that it pains me to not have her dreams and desires put into motion. Patty was always told she couldn't or wouldn't be able to do things either medically or physically. I wish we had an " I Told You So " sign. She is a CHARGEr! That is what is the most amazing thing about our children. They are determined and do the impossible. It is always one step at a time but she has already gone further in her life than I ever let myself dream for her when she was a baby. I just wish it didn't have to be so hard. And you know it doesn't. We all need to learn from each other so that it gets easier for everyone. Another pain I have is ofher education. It didn't have to be so hard and she missed vital learning opportunities. Her learning is in no way done but it didin't have to be a battle. I am now working in a school system with people who think outside of those small little boxes. I am working under a teacher with the gift of being a true " teacher " and is getting things done. I also watch her doing a job because it is her calling and not doing it based on finances. There are no hidden adgendas. I have only seen this once before. Instead of being one teacher with a few staff I have seen it be almost all staff. Of course that is Perkins. I see what Patty missed. None of your children have to miss it though. So now my job is to fight for Patty to continue to her life as independant as possible and remove those limits set on her by opinionated people who will do anything to not be wrong. Wrong they are! Thank you everyone. We'll see what accomplishes. Bonnie, mom to Kris 22, Patty CHARGE 20, and wife to a tough and determined
