Guest guest
Aubrie has always had the flu shot due to her cardiac issues. This year, I was concerned about it not being available. Usually, my son and I get it too. This year, no healthy people have been able to get it in our area. Aubrie's pediatrician called to let me know that a small amount would be coming to our health dept for sick kids. She wanted to be sure that I would get her in for the shot the day it was available because she was adamant that Aubrie have one. I was so pleased. The benefits of a small town again. How many drs have time to call everyone of their " special " patients and make sure they get their shots? Aubrie has never had a reaction to the shot. I would not want to see what would happen if she got influenza. Michele W Aubrie's mom 6 yrs
Guest guest
I have been fighting like crazy to get Patty her flu vaccine this year. She has had the shot since she was very little and she is 20 now. We only had a little problem once or twice. By a little problem I mean a slight runny nose, whatever. After pushing and pushing she now will be getting the shot on the 28th. Hope it isn't too late! Bonnie
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I volunteer at the senior flu clinic every year....according to our health department you can receive the vaccine until January and still be covered... Guest guest
Ellen, Thanks. Here in MA with the shortage they are only giving the shot to those at risk. They put Patty at the top of the list but they won't get it for a week or so. She has an appointment and so does being a diabetic. I have always recieved one as well because I work with children with special needs. But not this year because of the shortage. That is fine by me. As long as Patty, and my student remain healthy is what is important. Bonnie
