Guest guest
Chip: Doctors where I live always give a trial pair or two to see how people adjust. That way you can really judge for yourself. Contacts aren't much of a bother. I started when I was a kid, quit because of eye irritations not caused by the lenses, and still try them periodically. Personally, I greatly prefer them to glasses. Guest guest
Chip, I don't know if you have facial palsy, but my daughter can't wear contacts because her cornea is dry and damaged due to not being able to close her eye. I guess contacts would be extemely irritating. Just something to think about. Jeanie Colp mom to MacKenzie 6 CHARGE
Guest guest
Chip, You do have to touch the contact to your eyeball to put it on. For Dylan he does not blink when something comes toward his eye, which would make it easier to put in, but he also does not blink enough to keep his eye moist. Most eye doctors have a contact fitting where you work with someone to teach you how to put the contact in, then they let you try to see how you do. You go home with one pair and give it a try for a week, then decide. Even with contacts you will want to make sure dog hair etc stays away from your eyes.
