Guest guest
I believe I took progestorong (pills) when I was pregnant with my CHARGEr because I had two miscarriages prior to her. Guest guest
I had low levels with all 4 pregnancies ( I lost 1) I did suppositories with all --not pleasant, but kept me pregnant. no problems with other two---have afriend who also took them with her 3, and she had several miscarriages w/ progesterone too. good luck. mom to tim 9 ChARGE, keegan 6, liam 4 low progestorone > > > i was curious if any of you guys where told you had low progestorone > levels when you were pregnant with your chargers? i was told i did, > and my doc wanted me to take suppositories. i didn't take them b/c > of the risk of birth defects, but i know in the beginning of > pregnancy they said i could miscarry. just curious if anyone else > had low levels of hormones. > > thanks, > > mom to anthony, 17 month old CHargEr > > > > > > > Membership of this email support groups does not constitute membership in the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. > For information about the CHARGE Syndrome > Foundation or to become a member (and get the newsletter) > please contact marion@... or visit > the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation web page > at http://www.chargesyndrome.org > 7th International > CHARGE Syndrome Conference, Miami Beach, Florida, July 22-24, 2005. Guest guest
I had a miscarriage before Dylan and then I had low progesterone levels with him. I did take the progesterone suppositories. After Dylan was born I thanked my OB doc for the progesterone, realizing that a miscarriage was likely without it. I wanted him to know that even with CHARGE I was happy that Dylan was here with us. He said his philosophy is to promote life. He cannot judge what the quality of the life will be, so in his decisions as an OB/GYN he works for life and does not bog himself down in what ifs. Guest guest
i was just curious just wondering if maybe that could be a common link, maybe the researchers missed. i know on the package of suposatories it did say that kids where at risk for cleft palate and other deformaties. so that is why i didn't take it, but maybe low progestrone levels could be an early indicator of charge or other fetal problems, just a thought i was pondering, i know it is proberly far off! > i had low progesttrone and took the suposatories. not pleasant but i didn't > want to miscarry again > cathie, mom to erika > > >
