, or Zander as he is known, had his open heart surgery on 13 June.

He did great!!! We are now back home, it's a long drive from Louisiana to

Michigan and back again! The doctors and hospital were great. They really

tried to limit the use of lasix to the smallest they could get by with and

once on the floor they were able to keep us to a private room until the last

day. They tried to keep us in a private one because of his hearing loss. He

would not wear his aide in bed as it hurt with the pillow. With someone in

the bed next to him they felt he would have trouble hearing his TV and

themselves when they were talking to him. We couldn't have asked for a more

caring staff, both with his operation and their concern for him to be able

to hear easier. It is so good to be back home! Deb

Good for you Zander, and you, too, Mom! I'll bet it feels good to have that

behind you. That is a long way to travel---will you return there for follow

up visits? Hope you have a speedy recovery and are feeling better than ever

very soon!
