scouts/kids)

Living arrangements - chaotic! Specifically, Me, him (12th anniversary

last Easter Sunday), them (3 kids) and 2 cats

Favourite TV - Horizon, Equinox, Whose line is it anyway?, Frasier, Cold

Feet, The Doubledeckers, The Clangers, Ivor the Engine... (yes, OK, and

Neighbours too...)

What's on your mouse pad? - Whatever himself got given at the last

conference he went to...

Favourite magazine? - Trying desperately to remember when I last read

one....?????!!!! (Excluding New Gen and Scouting Magazine, as that's

" work " not leisure!!!)

Favourite smells? - new babies, Avon's Rare Gold bath range,

frankincense, fresh-laundered bed sheets, fruit cake.

Worst feeling in the world? - seeing my the " bend " in my son's arm when

the plaster cast first came off.

Best feeling in the world? - hearing my (normally unflappable) Mum drop

the phone with a squeal when I phone to give her my degree results.

Waking up in a hospital bed at 5am when everyone else was still asleep,

with my newborn firstborn snuggled up in my arms (still going goo-ey

nearly 8 years later!)

What is the first thing you think of in the morning? - don't think, just

of tea of the morning. (Shame hibernation is no longer physiologically

feasible for human beings....)

candy floss stand...?!

mackerel pate, anything Indian, Spring rolls, aagh, this list is getting

too long - anything except corned beef really...

Chocolate or Vanilla? - Neopolitan - that way I don't have to choose and

I get strawberry as well!!!!!

Storms - love 'em, but prefer to be indoors! Favourite one was when I

was living in Lausanne, huge storm flew across Lake Geneva, big black

shadow, bending trees flat in the wind as it roared across, then after

it had gone and all was quiet, just uncanny calm, eerie brightness and

dripping wet trees... wonderful!

First car - Green morris minor called Millie, borrowed from my Dad.

First own car was a yellow Talbot Samba, cheap but effective!

Is the glass half empty or half full? - depends how much is left in the

bottle!!!! (If it was a cup of tea I made earlier, it's probably

completely full and stone cold, but I'll microwave it when I get the

chance!)

Favourite snack? - FOOOOOOOOODDDDDD!

Lefty, righty or ambidextrous - Right.

Do you type with your fingers on the right keys? - Yes - did a short

course at Newbury College after finishing my O-levels (designed to keep

us off the streets!) Came in handy working for a boss who was always

hogging our shared secretary's time - the only way to get your work done

was to type it yourself.

What's under your bed? - not too sure, maybe I should pluck up the

courage to have a look...?????

Tee hee

Let Rob read my " getting to know you " answers. They were generally

complimentary about him, and praised his mother's cooking.

Yesterday evening, I came down from putting Caitlin to bed (a long process),

to find the house immaculately tidy, lights down low, candles lit and a

glass of wine waiting for me. This morning when bounded in at 5

to 7, and Caitlin was squawking as usual, he suggested I stay in bed and

he'd take them downstairs. He didn't come and get me until 10am!!! 3 hours

of uninterrupted sleep - wonderful! He's also suggested a takeway tonight

" so that I don't have to cook " .

The cynical " glass half empty " part of me is saying " what's he after? " .....

I'd be very interested to know if there is anything that can be taken whilst

pregnant. I am hoping that once we are (eventually) living in Florida, we will

perhaps one day have a successful pregnancy and I get terribly airsick if I

don't take my Stugeron. Is there anything anyone knows of that is safe and

effective to take (bar the tape that Sam has mentioned - I have details of

that, thanks Sam!) whilst pregnant otherwise I can see me not wanting to visit

home, if and when I am pregnant.

I don't think it would wash - although the taxi drive was " interesting " as

Anne & Shirley can testify - let's say I don't think it helped but I can't

claim it was the whole problem.

>> Favourite foods? - Thai, milk chocolate, although all this may change as

we're changing our eating habits to follow a plan for our Blood Group -

thankfully both the same - in the bid for more energy, less girth ( DH ) and

less cellulite ( me! ), so I need to get to like all sorts of alien things.

Anyone got a good recipe for Tofu?!

>> Chocolate or Vanilla? Ice cream, choc ( B & J's choc fudge brownie );

creme brulee, vanilla. Not " allowed " either anymore however

>> Storms - cool or scary? Definitely cool - love em. Lived in Alps for a

few months and saw some crackers

>> What type was your first car? - orange Fiat 126, nicknamed Baked Bean

because it looked just like one

>> Is the glass half empty or half full? - I'd like to think half full, but

I'm often too busy to notice

>> What is your favourite snack? - at the moment, cherries

>> Are you a lefty, righty or ambidextrous? - righty

>> Do you type with your fingers on the right keys? - ish. I started the

" Mavis Bacon teaches typing " home course and the last time I practised was

when I while I was waiting for the results of the pregnancy test that told

me I was expecting Dominic. I must have gone into shock as I haven't done it

since!

>> What's under your bed? - 4 large probably dusty leather suitcases

containing shoes and bags, bedlinen and old cassettes

Where did you live Clare? I lived in Grenoble for 10 months - basically 10

wild months of drinking and skiing at the taxpayers' and my parents' expense

(I was a student). I can't quite believe that was almost 10 years ago now.
