Hi Andy

if I grind my teeth, particularily the tooth with the only filling, would that

cause more vapor to be released?

I have been having severe neck problems for over 2 years. My MD says its a

nerve in my neck and wants to disconnect it - forget that. He gives me all

sorts of " free " muscle relaxants and painkillers but I dont like how they make

me feel nor do they really do much for the problem. My chiropractor thinks its

a repetitive motion I do with my right arm in my work and he uses Active

Release technique which does seem to help for about a week or two. I

myself thought it was related to either sitting at the PC or a reptitive task I

do in my work (everything is on the right side). At times Ive felt like a

pocket of fluid the size of a grapefruit has grown in the base of my neck/head.

My tooth, neck, ear and jaw hurt really bad at times. I originally went to

the MD because I thought it was an ear infection. He told me that the base of

my neck on the right side was slightly swollen and suspected a problem with a

pinched nerve or muscle.

It does seem correlated with stress and when Im stressed I do tend to grind my

teeth. I realize that alone can cause problems but it is only recently that Ive

noticed the area that hurts the most is also the area with the only silver

filling.

I am going to see a DDS who is on the list refered to in the FAQ.

Any thoughts on this or questions I should ask the DDS?

Your help most appreciated.

Thanks

Hello ,

quite possible. I have read some stuff (studies and references

to studies) in this area that is pretty wild/unsettling.

Such as, study of people who chew gum a lot and have more

mercury released. Ug. Tooth grinding, getting teeth cleaned,

and other things like this also apparently matter.

> I am going to see a DDS who is on the list refered to in the FAQ.

oops. I really should change the FAQ, since there are many

more dentist references here:

After asking my question a couple of weeks ago about whether a filling

necessarily included mercury (the answer was 'If it's silver, it has mercury,

however, the blacker it is, the less mercury it still has), I check my filling

and used my fingernail to see if it was sticking out, etc (not very invasive,

just a look-see). Ever since then, my lower jaw, gum, and surrounding area have

been sore. I've notice this happening in the past and I suppose I ate something

that stirred it up. I also have horrendous TMJ on that same side...locks open,

hurts, pops. I'm also a clincher when I have sinus problems or stress. That

doesn't help either.

I sympathize with your neck pain. I have something similar.

I'm not Andy, but am a jaw-clencher/tooth grinder! We have quite a

few family members with bruxism.

I just had all metal out of my mouth, so am anxious to see

improvements. It dawned on me somewhere a while ago, that as long

as I had metals in my mouth, it was going to cause galvanism and

problems with body electricity and nervous systems. I have TMJ, and

the top jaw and bottom jaw are mis-aligned and pivot wrong. Chewing

is difficult, and I've had headaches and shoulder/back stress for

many years. I kept going to the Chiropractor to get realigned. I

also went to a Cranial Sacral therapist, and that helped greatly.

But, it kept going back to misalignment. I think the metal is key,

here.

Maybe some of this rings a bell with you?

Now that I have the metal out of my teeth, I feel like mercury or

something is trying to move out of my jaw.

,Not Andy but...Yes, chewing, bruxism, brushing, cleaning, polishing,

drinking, temperature changes, having both mercury and gold in the mouth all

cause more mercury release. S if I grind my teeth, particularily the tooth

with the only filling, would that cause more vapor to be releasedThanks

The half life of mercury in the body is 50 years. This is very nasty stuff.

After a lot of homework, try www.maxamlabs.com.

Their products PCA-RX and NG-3 are the best I have found for Mercury Detox

and neurotransmitter repair.

Getting the mercury amalgam out is only half the problem. Getting the Hg out

of your system is the real key.

The best mercury detox agent I have found yet is PCA-Rx. Add their product

NG-3.

Check out www.maxam labs.com

I'm not Andy either but Steve was never a jaw clencher or tooth

grinder until he had six LARGE amalgams replaced with more amalgams.

Then within a month of that he started complaining of his bite being

off. That's when the orthodontist told him he was grinding his teeth

and clenching his jaw. Like you Judy, his top and bottom jaws won't

line up and pivot wrong. Ditto on the shoulder/upper back problems as

well. It was also about 6-12 months after this he was diagnosed as

having Parkinson's. The tremors showed up within 2 months of having

the amalgams redone. Coincidence, we think not.

1. Grinding makes more mercury come out.

2. MD's hate chiropractors and osteopaths, and since this is a

chiropractic or osteopathic problem the way you describe it of course

the MD has no good options.

3. Take lots of magnesium. It is a muscle relaxant that makes you

feel better.

4. If the DC adjustment only holds a week, find a DO (one who does

manipulation, a lot of them don't) and see if osteopathic adjustment

holds longer.

5. Figure out how to rearrange things at work so as to do more of it

with your left hand. Most workplaces are reasonably cooperative. if

they aren't, then try doing exercises with the left arm only to

counterbalance it.

6. Don't be surprised if the dentist ends up fixing it. My

experience is that a lot of wierd problems noobody else can keep under

control go away once the mercury does.

> The half life of mercury in the body is 50 years.

This is factually incorrect. It averages 77 days in the body, and

16-25 years in the brain. Possibly longer in the brain.

Yup.

I'd be surprised if they chelate anything other than money out of your

bank account.
