Guest guest
Allie, You will love it. Now both cats are on the desk, one sleeping in her little corner, the other looking outside at the birds (and trying to catch the ones that come up close). I have a bird feeder only about 12-18 inches outside the window, plus several others, so there are birds all over the place. Of course the cats are not allowed outside, they can only look at the birds and dream. Working at home is wonderful, you just have to remember to stay focused on work and not let the distractions get the upper hand. Margaret >>> Candlelight 08/21/02 04:11PM >>> OK. I have GOT to work at home. (: I would love to have my cat nearby while I am typing away... I just can't wait to graduate from my program and go after an at home MT job... -Allie > >Subject: Re: Procedure note > > Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2002 15:02:32 -0400 > To: , <nmtc > > >Pattie, That would be Isovue but please check your drug book for spelling, my cat is asleep on mine right now and I don't want to disturb her. Actually, my oldest is starting kindergarten on Monday, so I'll be doing a little more typing during the day. sniff, sniff. I can't believe she's old enough to go! Pattie Candlelight wrote: > OK. Guest guest
Ohmy! LoL! I have 3 cats who talk to birds that way too! Whenever I try to describe it for someone they look at me like I'm one brick short a full load, but they *do* talk to the birds in some weird chirpy cat language! Not purring or growling or hissing or meowing. I also have a tiny little beagle dog, Minnie, who thinks she is a cat! roflol! < () // \ ~~~o <> ) < () \\ / I don't know if this'll come through or not, but it's my rendition of a cat! haha If it doesn't come through right, then use your imagination! ohmygosh! :oP Re: Cats, was Procedure note I have indoor-only cats, too. They sit on their carpet-covered cat tree and watch squirrels & birds all day. They talk to the things outside the window -- a kind of " chcchchch-ackackackack " noise. It's hilarious. Guest guest
The absolute best part of working at home for me is that I get to spend virtually all of my waking, working and sleeping hours with my wife of soon to be 28 years. Spending these golden years really together has been good. Guest guest
I have a cat that doesn't make ANY noise, except I've heard a hiss or two when he gets into with my other cat, who pretty much hates him because she was here first. The vet said he either isn't very vocal or that because he was so young when we found him (a stray), he hadn't learned to meow from his mom. It's funny to see him " meow " without sound. I keep tell him to get a real meow. Now the other cat, especially if we are late with breakfast or supper, will let us know her displeasure with great amounts of complaining! Guest guest
Now, that I like to hear! My hubby and I are going to be celebrating 36 years soon and we love to escape in our RV away from all this work! Also, I have MANY cats - have a few acres - had to build a cat room just for them with toys and places to lounge in between exploring for mice and the like. -- Re: Cats, was Procedure note The absolute best part of working at home for me is that I get to spend virtually all of my waking, working and sleeping hours with my wife of soon to be 28 years. Guest guest
My cat " chatters' (that's what it's called) at birds too. I love it. It's the only part of him that's cat, cause he's mostly a dog or thinks he is. Quixote, that is SO sweet how you are so happy to spend your days with your wife of 28 years!! I do love my husband, but find him distracting when I'm working. val

Guest guest
Talking to the birds is one thing, bringing them into the house is another. I have had various assortment over the years, including a quail that hid under my couch. That is why we have the cat room now with pet door - they come and go as they please. -- Re: Cats, was Procedure note I have indoor-only cats, too. Guest guest
Thank goodness my cats haven't brought any " friends " inside with them; they just leave them on the porch for us. Ugh. Chatting cats...pretty neat. We have a pet door on our garage for all the animals in case they're outside when we leave. Only one cat likes to be near me when I'm at home on the computer; the rest could not care less what I was doing. lol , how are the fires out your way? Are they dying down any? Our server was down here for a few days, which consequently knocked me off internet e-mail, so I missed about a week's worth of messages. I was thinking about you and your family though, and I was wondering if they had been able to contain those fires that were about to join. Re: Cats, was Procedure note I have indoor-only cats, too.
