Guest guest
Yes, I believe it is time to change..... The ups and downs are typical of Hashimoto's, and there is a connection between bi-polar and thyroid disease. Keep asking away... Your questions are not weird and they help us all.... Guest guest
After the doctor making the statement about bipolar, yes, I would certainly switch doctors. I feel this way because he/she said it in the midst of everything happening to you, with all the other things already happening. If they'd been talking to you about your brain chemistry and some other symptoms, then I could see it. I'm gonna use strong language here, I would have gotten up and slapped him across the room, then I would have said " Yeh, I think you're right doc " . Then I would have said you can't put someone in jail, doc, who's suffering from emotional disturbance, so you wanna commit me? endo update > > > well, i went to the endo yesterday. of couse i don't have any lab > results yet. i 've got a few weird questions though. can there not be > surges in thyroid hormone even though the size itself has decreased- > in my theory the surges are what is causing me to go up and down > (hyper then dead tired). i don't know if the np i saw was joking or > not, but she suggested i was bipolar. they did agree however to check > my insulin level because my blood sugars have been running low > lately.
