OK I'm sure somebody on the list is far more computer literate than me so I

thought I would throw this question open to you!

OK just got a new puter the old one was running on Windows 95 the new one has

got the latest version of Windows 98/99.

I was trying to email my mastercopy of the Houseswap Register to my new computer

using my husbands hotmail account but it won't send it because the fill is too

big. Any ideas anybody.

How can I send a large attachment via hotmail, is it possible.

Regards

Tupman

Technical Help Wanted!!

My DH is answering this one for you,

If you have this option you can Win - Zip the file.

By doing so you can send large files.

Can't help you with Hotmail, but if you both computers can be connected to

the internet (which they must be if you are planning on emailing it), you

can upload the file from one computer to webspace, then download it onto the

other. You would then delete the information from you webspace. Even if

you don't have your own webspace, you could, depending on the file

allocation, upload it to the shared files area in Egroups - then delete it

when you are finished with it.

The other thing to consider is networking the computers in your house. That

way you can access the files from each computer, and reorganise them if you

want to. It really quite easy and inexpensive to do this - I did it a

couple of weeks ago and the whole job took about an hour. I've also seen

networking kits in the computer shops here that use your phone wiring to

make the network - that sounds the easiest of all if your phone outlets are

where you want them.
