Alum Rock Crystal (Was - dental work and terrible mouth sores)

| , Don't know how much help I can be but I take lysine daily 500-

| 1000 mg to control mouth sores. I rarely have them now and used to

| have them often. Maybe that will help. Another thing my mom always

| did for canker sores was to take a peice of ALUM rock crystal and

| hold it to the sore for about 30 seconds. This dried them and they

| went away quickly. I can't imagine where you would buy this but I

| still have a few crystals in my medicine cabinet. I suppose this

| would put a bit of Aluminum in the system. I hate having a mouth

| sore because it swells and then you bite it by accident because it

| is swollen and it is a viscious cycle. Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks for the tip. Is this the same thing that Trader Joe's sells as a stick

deodorant? Contains natural mineral

salts, potassium alum.

" Crystal Stick " body deodorant www.thecrystal.com Contains natural mineral

salts, ammonium alum.

Also available is " Crystal Orchid " via www.baar.com Contains natural mineral

salts, potassium alum. This one says it

does not contain aluminum chlorohydrate.

It works fine as a deodorant. I wonder about the aluminum - does anybody know?
