creole french toast - Martha

I'll try to find a recipe in a Louisiana cookbook. I was so very young when

my father made it that I really don't remember anything except that it was

very rich and unlike anything my mother made. There's also Creole cream

cheese. This might only be available in New Orleans, but if you ever have

a change, grab some. It's rather like buttermilk ice cream, but the

Orleanians make it sweet as can be. Ah, back to my childhood. You made

me smile on a night when tossed her sleep meds. I guess I'll be up

by 1:30, but it's great to smile now! Thanks. Martha
