Hi ,

Here's a couple good places to start looking.

<A HREF= " http://www.909shot.com/ " >National Vaccine Information Center</A>

<A HREF= " http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm " >Vaccination Information &

Choice Network - Vaccine/Vaccination/Immunization

Dan</A>

<A HREF= " http://www.access1.net/Via/ " >VACCINE INFORMATION & AWARENESS</A>

(this one has state/ legal info)

<A HREF= " http://thinktwice.com/global.htm " >THINKTWICE Global Vaccine Institute:

Avoid Adverse Immunization Reactions</A>

If you do a search at google.com for your state laws, you should be able

to come up with the exact statutes. BTW, your friend has plenty of time to

make a decision- make sure she knows there's NO rush!

Thanks Phyllis for the info. She is on WIC so not sure what she will

face with that. I was on WIC with our first son but we moved just as

the vaccination schedule came up so I just canceled the account if

you will. I believe she is on Medicaid or some other insurance that

she has to worry about....

My son was on WIC as an infant, they will try to push the vaccines but they

can not refuse services for non-compliance. The same with FIA benefits.

When my son was receiving benefits we were threatened with being removed for

non-vacination. I sent a letter worded using the exact same wording as

applicable in CA law. I never heard a word back from them. Idle threats.

My main advice is this: (1) Know the law in your state. Have it ready.

(2) Do not be intimidated. Work from a position of strenth.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

State Statute for Exemption for immunization.

23.84

(a) Medical exemption. Children need not be immunized if a physician or

his designee provides a written statement that immunization may be

detrimental to the health

of the child. When the physician determines that immunization is no

longer detrimental to the health of the child, the child shall be

immunized according to this

subchapter.

(B) Religious exemption. Children need not be immunized if the parent,

guardian or emancipated child objects in writing to the immunization on

religious grounds or

on the basis of a strong moral or ethical conviction similar to a

religious belief.

Yes, that is all that you do - don't give any further comments at all.

Did you read your law? Everyone needs to do this! Go read your state law

and then ask me questions if you have them.

You can print out the law along with this form for PA ......if they

question you - show them the law.
