Welcome Elisheva,

You can use oil, coconut butter or ghee as a butter substitute in

recipes.

Pecan nut butter or pecan nut flour are good substitutes for almond

flour. That's where our name comes from.

When a recipe calls for nut flour, how much nut butter do you

substitute? Thanks!

Hi,

We are just starting the SCD diet for my son. He has been CF/GF for

close to 9 months. I see a lot of the recipes in BRVC call for

butter. What can I replace that with, that's allowed? I really would

like to stay away from margarine too. Also, he is allergic to

almonds, any suggestions for a replacement to use as flour? Thanks a

lot.
