Guest guest
If my child will eat the runny goat yogurt without my dripping it, do I need to drip it? Is dripping beneficial? Is the liquid whey harmful? Thanks in advance. Sally, mom to Tom - SCD 13 mo.
Guest guest
Hi Sally, > If my child will eat the runny goat yogurt without my dripping it, > do I need to drip it? If he'll eat the yogurt and tolerates it well you don't have to drip it. > Is dripping beneficial? Dripping can be beneficial if you 1.) want a thicker yogurt or want yogurt cheese. 2.) react to the proteins that may be in the water. >Is the liquid whey harmful? It isn't quite liquid whey. The fluid is the water that comes from the hydrolysis (breaking apart)of lactose by the bacteria. There is no lactose (or shouldn't be if probably prepared) but it may contain some whey protein which some people are sensitive to. So if he likes it and has no problem enjoy it as it is.
