I do make an appeal for donations on a regular basis, which I might add is

completely unsolicited by Pierre. In all the years the two IgAN sites have been

up, Pierre to my recollection has never before made an appeal. He has

shouldered the financial burden willingly, and without one work of complaint for

all

these years. As you know, Pierre is on dialysis and has been forced on

disability for some time. We all get tremendous benefit from these groups, and

I

would also like to make a plea for others to join in supporting the work Pierre

does.

I have made my donation today, and am sending out a heartfelt plea for others

to join in as well. This is the first time Pierre has had to make a plea for

funds, and I say we should all overwhelm him with our response. This is one

way we can show him our appreciation for all he has done for all of us.

Please be assured that any donations in excess of the immediate $100 need

will be rolled over to cover the monthly expenses on an ongoing basis. This is

a

very worthy cause. Please join me in helping to alleviate the financial

burden from Pierre.

Thanks!

Thanks to 's end of year appeal, there was a great response. I feel bad

that some of you did not receive a personal thanks from me, but there are

just too many for the time that I have. I intend to do something special

though. Not sure yet, but I was thinking of posting the names of donors on

the website (just first name and maybe an initial, no email address or

anything). Any thoughts on that?

The other thing is that, due to increased traffic on the website and the

IgAN Cafe, I have to renew my web hosting to a higher-level package than I

already had. It will cost me about $100 more. I just don't have that kind of

money, and any small donations for that would be greatly appreciated, but

please, don't feel obligated.

Thanks

Pierre

Hi Amy.

Thank you for replying. That's for the year. There's always the possibility

I might have to upgrade it further later on, depending on how much traffic

the site gets. I buy the minimum package that I think will be enough. If the

traffic goes beyond a certain amount, there's a surcharge. I hope you guys

all know I wouldn't ask at all if I had more of a normal income. I only get

Canada Pension Plan disability benefits, which is the equivalent of social

security in the US., so I need every penny of it for my living expenses.

Otherwise, I would just consider the site my hobby and I would pay for it

myself.

> Pierre, How do I donate - Ray

Ray all you have to do is go to the IgAN website

http://www.igan.ca/index.htm

Then in a few places on the page, (on the right hand side, at the top,

scroll down near the bottom) are " Donations " links. Click on one of them

and you can donate using a Paypal account. It's very easy and it's set up

so you can donate in either Canadian dollars, US dollars, Euros, or Yen.
