This organization wasestablished by the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) andthe National Association of EMS Directors (NAEMSD) to serve as the voicefor EMS on Capital Hill.I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of recentlegislation that has been introduced and ask you to contact yourSenators for support and/or co-sponsorship of the Senate Bill, theFederal Interagency Committee on Emergency Medical Services (FICEMS)S.2351.This agency would serve to coordinate various Federal agencies that areinvolved in EMS, including Homeland Security and NHTSA. This Bill wasintroduced on April 27, 2004 by Senator (ME) and SenatorFeingold (WI).Please fax a letter of request for support to your Senators and followup with a phone call or in person.
