Guest guest
Hello everyone, Last Wednesday my grand daughter was DX with Charge syndrome. I immediately joined the group after a brief research session. Saturday morning I found myself unable to sleep so at 230AM I was up and searching the web for any and all info on Chargers(I learned some of the lingo also.) When Lexie was born I was able to see her 10minutes after her delivery. The reason I mentioned this is because I noticed she didn't look 100%. I do believe that in Heavenly Fathers eyes she is perfect. I fought long and hard with my son and daughter in law about seeking more advanced help with the DX. They both said that she was fine. Lexie was unable to nurse about her birth and began having breathing difficulties. She saw a neonatologist and was then transferred to Nashvilles, Vanderbilt Children Hospital. Much more was discovered as the days and months went on. I sure as many of well no could write days on what happened. She will be 6 mos. on 16 July 2004. Oh yeah the Dr. said that she had a sub archnoid brain hemorrhage. Did any of the other chargers-experience this?. I look forward to getting to know you all. Love to all, Melenie Espinoza, Kay Cosmetics- Just for all of you and welcome newbies! Well today im at the job finding club and its kinda cool. Finding a job is hard when you have deaf/blindness and how do you keep a job when your behavioural issues are what keep causing you to loose the job? Well these are all issues im dealing with. I guess its something for parents of younger kids to think about. Well at least I know this list is a wealth of resorces and information. One thing we are learning about in the job finding club is about networking. Asking others if they know where to find the resorces you need. Thats exactly what this list is. A family network, a support system! (ok thats a no brainer but hey) I guess I just want to welcome the new ppl here and dont be afraid to ask anything cause chances are... someone here knows someone you can get the info you need or elce they know where to find what you need. No matter what country, I think the most important part of this list is the fact that we can talk about anything and everyone listens. Sometimes the responce is not what we want to hear but its what we need to hear. Basicly everyone is here for everyone elce. I have learnt over the years (ok so its taken me um what 5 years) to realize its ok to ask anything and to not be afraid to ask for help. Gee, That calcium suppliment really did the trick this morning! (or maby its the coffee) LOL Gosh im looking over what I just wrote and its all true but seriously i am not normaly this upbeat, specialy since im waiting for a few things and I havnt had much sleep all week. Oh well, thats the life of a CHARGEr, never can tell what im going to be feeling one moment to the next. Who knows, I can be happy one day and the next I just want to throw something at someone! Hopefully I can start to get all this sorted out! Smiles Chantelle (CHARGE and who knows what elce!)
