Guest guest
Well, I started my son on Primal Defense yesterday. This is the child who has been withholding bms for 2-3 days and has never had a clean OAT even with SCD. He especially has had issues with high anaerobic OAT markers and clostridial markers, but also some yeast. His bms have been soft and formed somewhat counterintuitive to his withholding issue. I gave him a scoop of Primal Defense yesterday at 11 am. At 5 pm he had a large, looshish bm. He seemed to feel and act a lot better afterwards. Today I gave him a scoop in the morning, and after dinner he had another large semi formed but a lot of loose, smelly bm. He seems no worse for the wear behaviorally or cognitively today. Actually reports form his therapits were pretty good today. So something is definitely going on in his GI tract. He is now having daily bms (good I think?!) but they certainly are looser and smellier. Not sure if this means die-off is going on or something else. Any thoughts or eperieenes like this? Thanks, Beth
Guest guest
PLEASE go slow with P.D. If you go too high too fast you can end up hurting his gut. Even though he is fine now, that high of a dose when you first start out can become a problem over time. I know many parents who started out at a scoop and a week or so later their kid's tummies where not doing well. It is better to go slow and work up with no reaction than a bad reaction eventually. Good luck, it is a good product. (mom to London, SCD 6 months) > Well, I started my son on Primal Defense yesterday. Guest guest
First want to state I understand this is not a legal product for SCD, but... I'm wondering if this would be helpful to those children- such as Hope's son, who have had more issues with diet and gut bugs. Our son was really high a year ago and we should be receiving new information any day. (new OAT test) I'm very interested in hearing if you do another OAT test how it's affected it. I'm currently sticking with legal stuff and have cut sugar in an effort to knock out the bugs. Doing goat yoghurt, CP and nystatin.
