Deep fat isn't the healthiest way to prepare foods but you could fry your donuts

occasionally.

Could you forward the doughnut recipe - we had a great one for CF/GF -

and miss them! Also, would be easy to sneak things into. thanks

I doubt it will work. The SCD donuts that I have made are cake

like donuts and they wouldn't hold together to be cut into circles.

They are the consistency of thick cake batter, nothing like a

gluten-laden, yeast filled dough that can be rolled, cut and

shaped.

I've never tried it, but my Mom used to make home-made donuts (fried) and

they were absolutely heavenly, and not at all greasy. I think the tricky part is

getting the oil just the right temperature.
