Guest guest
-- Hey ya'll out in CHARGE kingdom! Well, I have been reading some posts for a while lately, sorry that I didn't type much in a while. Then, I read some of the posts about doggies....okay, who here is wanting to get some cute doggies? I'll give you some of the best breeds to choose from, alright? I got a chow mix name Sasha, and of course I know how most chow chows are...they're DOG AGGRESSIVE! Which means, chows and some other breeds (also pit bulls, well not that bad), hate other dogs, and will beat them up, omg! Of course, a chow is a 1 person/1 family dog, won't get along well with other people/strangers, except their own owners and families, right? For a cute, friendly, people/children doggy, here are a list I know, which make a wonderful pet, enjoy! 1) Golden Retriever: These guys are the best kind of dogs around! got one, even one of my CHARGE friend, , got a couple of them! 2) Labrador Retriever: Another best, children friendly pooch. Like a rival to the Golden Retrievers, right? 3) Toy or Miniature Poodles: Well, these guys do tend to get nervous, but are very hyper and jumpy little guys! 1 of my deaf friend, , got 2 of these guys. And man, are they jumpy or what!? 4) Pomeranians: These cute small bundle of fuzz balls make wonderful lap doggy! 5) Beagle: Another popular breed, with only 1 default you have to beware with....they tend to howl a lot! Be ready when your neighbors start complaining, when these small hound dogs start howling at the moon, AAARRROOOWWW!!!! 6) Chihuahua: These cute small, scrawny guys are good pets, but are also nervous and jumpy, just llke the poodles ya know. Aye Caramba! Aye Chihuahua! 7) Dachunds: These guys are known as 'weiner doggies' or 'hot dogs', and good pets too! They tend to have spinal problem, due to their long back. 8) West Highland Terriers: These are good small terrier type doggies. Even though, some terriers tend to be a bit crazy, like to snap, so be careful. 9) Jack Russel Terrier: Another terrier, smart and friendly little guys. Hyper and energetic too! 10) Pugs: OMG! I always brush and bathe these cute small, bug eyes doggies! They're wonderful little doggies, make wonderful pets! 11) Pekenese: Another bug eye doggy, make good pets too! 12) Cocker Spaniel: Yep, I also brush and bathe these guys too, yay! They got their own personality and attitude. They're like us, some of them are nice, some of them are nervouse, some are shy, some are friendly. Good pets too, but sometime they act crazy and weird, lol! That what I like about these furry, 25 lbs guys, always unpredictable and fun to have around. And, and short quick list of 'BIG NO-NO' breeds of dogs, make bad pets for children and other animals. 1) Pit Bulls 2) Akitas 3) Chow Chows 4) Doberman Pinchers 5) Rottweiliers 6) German Shephards And some other large asian breeds. Oh Yeah, I forgot, greyhounds and other large hounds type doggies make good pets too! But, need a large yard to run around, right? Some mix breeds or mutts you may call them, do make good pets...but, you need to know what kind of breeds is it mix with, so you can expect what kind of tempermant will it get. Like my doggy, Sasha, she got a moody temperment, normal for most chows! She's hard to tell, she can be nice with some people, but mean to others, same thing with other doggies. Oh Well, I hope these stuff will help. Type back and lemme know what you think, alright? Talk to you later, see ya! Guest guest
Chip - I am so impressed with your dog knowledge!! I wish I'd known you years ago when we were choosing pets. We have an full-blooded afghan hound and a golden retriever mix. Both are great dogs, but the golden retriever is by far the most wonderful! She's smart, friendly, just sweet. The 2 get along really well. They stay together and watch out for each other. When I go to get them from the outdoor kennel, Cammie (the retriever) will come to the gate to greet me, then go to the dog house to get Liza (the hound). Cammie will not come out with me until Liza is ready to go too. Before we had kids, we had a different afghan that was spoiled. She was like our child -- slept in our bed, sat in our laps (yes, that huge dog sat in our laps!). After kids and after many carpets ruined by pets, the dogs now stay in the laundry/mud room or out in the kennel. I just don't have the time and energy for them that I used to. I know it's a shame cuz they'd be great house/lap pets, but it just doesn't work for me anymore. They're still loved, but it's good that they don't know what they're missing :-) Michele W Aubrie's mom
