I think that it especially helps those that are new to IgAN with no real track record and experiences to fall back on. Hopefully this should help take some of the fear of the unknown away for some members on this list. Sometimes with all of the constant reminders of what may happen, it's hard to keep in mind that numbers can improve, the disease can remain stable, medication's can be your friend and lastly that we are all here to celebrate the successes and support you during the obstacles. Tell congrats on the grade card! If I would have received one like that for my daughter, I would have assumed that the wrong report card had been sent home! Connie PS Hey by the way Cy and , our short trip to California was fantastic! But sprinkles? It felt more like a monsoon up on the hilltop at Hearst Castle on Monday. I had no umbrella, so I looked like an onion skin kid for the entire day. (not a pretty sight) Spent the day Saturday in San Francisco, the weather was great especially compared to the 7 degrees that we left behind Friday in Ohio. Having the net as your primary research tool can make fears seem overwhelming. Very few people tend to write in to say " yeah, I'm doing fabulous " . I sure know we weren't last year! Im so glad you managed to make it our here (and yes, it's raining as I type). Seven degrees is NOT good for the spirit. I know when I wintered in Yellow Springs I lived for TA-ing an invertebrate zoology class - just for the field trip to the Gulf Coast. I'm jealous you got to do Hearst Castle.
