In this example, the AMA states it is their intent that the provider would bill 2 units of manual therapy as a substantial portion of the 30 minutes was utilized performing this procedure. They also say that though that is their intent, insurance payers may request that these services be reported differently To purchase this issue of CPT ASsistant as well as any other back issue or the current issue, please click on the lnk below. https://catalog.ama-assn.org/Catalog/cpt/issue_search.jsp?checkXwho=done > > From: bchacko71 <bchacko71@. ..<mailto: bchacko71% 40sbcglobal. net>> > Subject: RE: Scheduling Medicare Patients > To: PTManager@yahoogrou ps.com<mailto: PTManager% 40yahoogroups. com><mailto: PTManager% 40yahoogroups. com> > Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 9:55 PM > > Dear Group, > How often do most of you schedule medicare patients for one therapists > schedule so that he can be compliant with medicare rules of providing > one on one care and also be productive in todays tough economic times? > How many patients can a therapist see in an 8 hour period and be > productive? > Do you find it difficult to have therapists complete their > documentation on the same day?
