At the end of nine months, you have nine months of built up lining to get rid of. With an ectopic, no matter how early, your lining builds up more than usual because of pregnancy hormones. The lining needs to be shed completely and sometimes it over does it after pregnancy, especially if you've received methotrexate. Most RE's want your lining to be at least 8mm thick to conceive. If it isn't at least that thick, an embryo can have trouble implanting, or staying implanted. Hope that makes sense. For what it's worth, one doctor told me I could try again when my hcg levels are zero, but another told me I had to wait. Now I don't know what I'll want to do. I just figured we were safe and forgot about all the little slipups. Deep down I knew I was deluding myself. If you really want to stay safe, use condoms until you are ready to ttc. BTW, the rthym method is when you make love during your non fertile time w/o protection and free of worry. When you are fertile, you rely on a backup method of BC. I guess for now, I don't know when iam ovulating since my EP was on 6/12 and still waiting for my first AF to come since my last EP. I really don't know when i am ovulating yet.
