Guest guest
Ok, me about those darn bugs again. Hope this may interest you too. I have my son up to 6 scoops lactobacillus given in a spoon of yogurt in the morning before food goes in. (20-40 mins prior) I'm looking for that level of " desired results " . I re-read the information from Custom probiotics and it said you could give it again at bed time. So, I decided last night to try that. I gave him 3 small scoops before bed in one spoon of yogurt. Then this morning he got the 6 scoops. OMG- what a release of junk we just experienced! I'm still nauseated. So, does this sound like his " formula " for now or should I consider an afternoon dose as well? Should I stay with this amount. I know it's a lot but we saw small results on lower amounts and have worked our way up to the 6 scoops. No negative reactions, or none that can't be handled, or at least he is better and negatives are less noticeable if they exist. I made my first batch of goat yogurt- homemade, used illegal store bought goat yogurt before and working to use the legal only. The goat yogurt I made won't be ready for trying on him until this evening. Oh, I'm also giving him lauricidin again. This may be helping as well. any suggestions, thoughts? I think he is really a luxury hotel for gut bugs and i'm trying to close the hotel down, but not the host ; ) mary lynn austin 4 yrs lca and asd, non-verbal scd since feb, working on illegal yogurt issue. Guest guest
Lynn, It's hard for me to give a specific recommendation on the probiotics. Elaine's recommendation is to use 1 scoop per day. Anything beyond that is a parent's choice. I honestly don't know how much is too much. In the Autism community the kids have been given really high doses of probiotics. Are you planning to give him the illegal yogurt? You can get legal starter from Custom Probiotics. Guest guest
he's been getting the illegal yogurt. today is the last day though. i have bought the legal ingredients. it's almost done and will need to cool for 8 hours, then it's ready. probably should mention my illegal yogurt thing but wanted to be extremely honest. don't recommend others follow me. (my disclaimer) I just know my son's ability to hum songs completely left when he went casein free 20 months ago. feel there is a strong link to something, probably lactobacillus since he had NO growth for it in testing fall 2002. mary lynn > Lynn, > > It's hard for me to give a specific recommendation on the > probiotics.
