confused on yeast

I'm really confused on this whole yeast issue. I can't seem to tell with Luke

if he's got any yeast problems or not. I don't do all the testing, I just watch

his stools, and how he's feeling and acting, and make my judgments from that.

ly, he's doing really great right now, so that works for me.

Most of my SCD questions of late are related to ME!! Before SCD I'd get

occasional vaginal yeast infections. Now, while on it, I'm going back and forth

with spells of a lot of vaginal discharge and itching. Is this yeast dying OFF

or yeast getting worse? How am I supposed to know? Everything otherwise is

doing well, as long as I stay legal, tummy pains and BM's are so much better,

I'm just really mixed up on this whole yeast issue. I refuse to avoid all fruit

and such for fear of yeast, but I am curious whether this itching business is a

" good " or " bad " thing (what I DO know is that it is ANNOYING!! )

Thanks guys, sorry if TMI but nothing is sacred around here, right?

To clarify are you getting more yeast infections or just more

discharge and occasional itching? Have you been treated for the

infections? Have you seen a doctor? I ask this one to be sure that

it is just a regular yeast infection and not a recurrent bladder

infection. Are you using anything for the itch.

I'd wonder what you are eating (specifically, are you eating yogurt)

and are you balancing the fruits and honey use? Before SCD I had

frequent yeast infections. The diet has helped tremendously but I

have had to make other adjustments (which I started preSCD). I use

all unscented soaps, no perfumes and most important my husband has

to use these soaps also. If he uses any scented soaps - instant

yeast infection.

Hmmm. The soap idea is probably very relevant. For me and my husband,

both. I haven't seen a doctor, and I don't use medication, as it seems to

come and go without getting worse or anything. Thanks for the ideas!

Hi ,

I have a friend that told me everytime that she takes a tub bath that

she gets a yeast infection , I asked her when she finds the time to take a

tub bath , and she informed me that she bathes with her kids. An old remedy

that works is apple cider vinegar and water to use a douche , it helps to

balance out the ph . It is really easy to get out of balance , it has

happened to me in the past, I've heard that heavy metals play a roll , I'm

in the process of having my amalgams removed . If I get out of balance ,I

just eat more vegetables and juice some greens , and take my probiotics ,and

lay low on the sweets and I am back in balance in a couple of days ..

good luck , I know it is frustrating ,

Angie
