Guest guest
Well, recently someone posted a very long article on this issue, actually called PST (I think??) Phenol-sulfur-transferease or something close to that... I tried to get from it what I could, it's very long and very " heady " and I was quite sleepy while reading it, but I was disturbed by one thing. If these chemicals are passing through a leaky gut unchecked for long enough, they not only affect behavior, they can be dangerous, causing blurred vision and other actual physical symptoms. Those things just aren't supposed to be in your bloodstream, absorbed straight in like that, the intestines are supposed to do their job sifting through all that and only taking in what the body needs/uses... but these little messed up guts aren't doing their job. I don't pretend to completely understand this. If you want to give more options, I'd try no-fenol. I can't personally speak to how it works but others here are having good results, it seems. in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/low-salicylate; , age 3; and , 23 mos All SCD since 1/26/04 No Mom is an island. but sometimes she needs one! Salicylate Question Does eating foods that are high in salicylates actually cause damage to the intestines further, or does it inhibit healing, or does it just affect behavior? I am just wondering if I should add some back in because we are SO limited right now. I know they affect him behaviorally, but I was curious about the other.
