The legal cheese list is at the start of the appendix in BTVC. Do not buy the

lactose free cheeses. it's not necessary. Aging cheese 30 days at the factory

destroys most of the lactose.

I didn't see the coconut fruit cookies.. thanks..

I sure wish there was a way to search those recipes by ingredient..

it would make it easier!

I'm just spoiled by my little pocket pc cookbook.. I give it some

ingredients and it pops out a list of recipes.

So those chesses listed should be lactose free? I just wasn't sure..

I had bought a pack of 'lactose free' cheese.. it's just soy

cheese.. the havarti is aged and lactose free it says so on the

package Do any of you know of some brands that are aged 30 days? Or

is it the nature of the cheese.. like those particular kinds are

always aged that long?

Thanks

Hi ,

You are allowed the cheeses listed in the back of Breaking the

Vicious Cycle. Elaine has even put in italics to show which cheeses

can be used freely, and which can be used occasionally.

Soy cheese is illegal.

Sorry, I don't know what brands to recommend, as I live in Canada.

Hi ,

Where do you live? Someone nearby may be able to suggest brands.

The soy cheese is illegal. To get you started any mild or medium

cheddar is legal as long as there are no additves, it is not

preshredded and is not a lite/light cheese.

iI am in NE Ohio Akron area to be specific.

I know the soy is illegal.. I was just trying out the lactose free

items to see if they indeed made a difference.. It;s funny it's like

he knows it's not good for him he refused to eat it!

Pre shedded has possibility of flour on it to keep it from sticking

right?
