Hi .....

***Speaking of back, neck, shoulder pain, I never hear much of anything

from doctors or anywhere else about myo causing weakened muscles in back

and close to spinal chord.****

You should see my back. That was one of the first things doctors

noticed about me. My right side started first... then the left side as

the disease progressed. Maybe the back muscles is only in the advanced

stages. It's very difficult for me to stand in one place, I have to

keep moving. I prefer to hang onto a cart if I'm out. If I have to

sit in a chair with a low back it just kills me and my back is on fire.

I have no muscle back there, or I should say no muscles that are useful.

By the time I finish making the bed or changing the sheets I have to lay

down my back hurts so bad.

****Vicki, you've lost 11 pounds???****

NO, NO, NO....you silly girl.. I didn't lose 11 pounds it was 1 lb...

actually another pound. I had gotten down to 204# doing the diet my

way... then when I went on her diet and I zoomed to 211#.....This

morning I weigh 209# .... I'm going to get back down if it kills

me!!!!!! The funny thing about all of this is that my doctors (both)

don't want me to go back to my normal weight. That would be 135#....

They want me around 160# to 170#. Even at that weight I'd be sooooo

happy and have plenty of extra skin left over to make a lamp shade or

two.

Hooray for your sister.... 5 lbs is a great start. I hope she keeps it

up. Maybe she's reached that stage in her life where this will work for

her because she really wants it. Tell her to hang in there.

Take care,

Vicki
