Nice to hear the good news Amy.

Six days no talking eh? Gee, I wonder if I could get my wife to have a

tonsillectomy :)

Good luck with the surgery.

Back from the Neph, Good news!

> Well hello everyone! It's been a bit since I sent out any updates on my

condition, this time it is yet again good news.. yea!

>

> Saw my nepthrologist today and my labs are looking great. My creatinine

levels remain stable at 2.2 and the protein level in my urine has dropped to

0.6 this is a GREAT thing as when we started all this it was at a 3.6!! And

I only had trace blood in these last few U/A's. With the drop in protein

spill my cholesterol levels are finally coming down some, another good

thing. They have been able to stabilize my blood pressure with a

combination of Lisinopril 20mg twice a day (he up'ed that from 15mg BID) and

Cardizem LA 180mg before bed. He also reduced my Prednisone dose to

30mg/day from 40mg and told me I don't have to go in for weekly urine tests

anymore. :) Happy days! I don't have to see him again for another 6 weeks

now.

> He o.k'ed my tonsillectomy that is coming up on the 29th of this

month. My husband is taking 6 days off to stay with the kids while I heal

so I don't have to talk. As long as the outpatient surgery center is o.k

with things I'll be having it done there, my nepthrologist didn't feel a

hospital stay is warranted since my labs are looking so good and my b/p is

under control now.

> So now all I'm worried about is the upcoming surgery on my tonsils.

I'm hoping it won't be too bad and that things will improve for me

healthwise once they are out. My nepthrologist is actually sort of excited

about me having them done since he wants to see what sort of impact removal

will have on my kidney problem. I am now part of an experiment I guess. :)

Keep things crossed for me and any positive/healing energy you are willing

to send my way would be appreciated.

Hey Amy,

That is just great news all the way around! Looks like the Prednisone has

done a great job getting your protein down. Thanks for sharing with us.

And you are on my prayer calendar for next week too!

Is that a typical man for you! Look at the size of her post and Pierre

caught the one tiny little line about the " 6 days without talking "

statement.

Connie :)
