Deborah,

Call his office. Debbie will send you the book. You need it to get

the ball rolling. If you start getting your letters together, get your

physical, etc., while you are losing your weight, you will speed up the

process.

I know that Medicare covers the surgery if certain criteria are met. I do

not know what that criteria is. Debbie will tell you or find out for you if

she doesn't know.

Hope this helps,

Hi Deborah

I am Kathy, I live in SC too!!! Just south of Charlotte, NC. Where do

u live? Dr R is great about letting you go through the admissions

process while " fighting " with the insurance company. If I were you I

would start on EVERY area. I would fill out all the requirementes for

Dr R, I would apply for the WLS for Medicare, and I would work on the

weight. You may found that you will have a battle on your hands with

the insurance company, but we are here to help with any questions. Good

luck,

Kathy

My dear sis, I was making sure you were comfortable about me being here.

LOL.

I will share many experiences and sit back and listen to many of others so

that I can get a feel for what is going on. You know how nervous I am about

surgery. Just had gallbladder out. Trying to get Drs to realize possible

thyroid problem. You know how that goes.

Anyways, bye for now. Love ya, sis.

Well hello there, sis! oops...maybe you didn't want anybody to know you are

MY SISTER. Sorry if I blew your cover. ha ha ha I'm glad you've joined us

for our insanity sessions. They are very informative and spirit-lifting!

We're all REAL relaxed here, so pull up a chair and type away. And we love

sharing embarrassing stories relating to our " purely cosmetic because we

just aren't good enough to do anything about it so no insurance company will

cover the cost to have it fixed " sagas (oh, and we like stories about boobie

tricks and weak chairs, too).

You may want to share a few stats about yourself once you feel comfortable.

Welcome Adeline

I hope you have some joy with training as a breastfeeding counsellor. If

you have no NCT in the Isle of Man is there something else which has the

same function? What about antenatal classes? I look forward to getting to

know you.

I was a community midwife till I was forced to give up due to my eldest

attempts to go back to work have been thwarted by very unsociable

working hours and a husband that works away from home.

I am very interested in becoming a breast feeding counsillor having

breast feed both my children for a year each and would love to hear from

any interested parties that could help me in my quest.Oh! by the way

there is no NCT in the Isle of Man.

looking forward to participating in the egroup.

Welcome Adeline

How do you fancy setting up a new IOM branch? ;-) (Joke - but the idea may

grow on you!)How many members does it take to set up a new branch (does that

sound like how many men does it take to chnge a light bulb!!)

I work for a company which has an office in the IOM. I am trying to get the

main company to do corporate membership. I wonder if we may get a few IOM

members through it (probably not till next year) I`m working on it!

Enjoy the chat, Adeline.

Welcome! Although I am sorry you had a reason to find us, I am glad you

did...you will find this a group full of support and information.

I had a miscarriage in 7/97 and a ruptured ep in 11/98. I have been with

this group since its inception one year ago and it has been a wonderful

source for me. Krista, our founder, has her own website that is FULL of

info about ep's - diagnosis, treatment, future fertility etc. The address

is www.ectopicpregnancy.com

Please feel free to post about anything on your mind - questions, vents,

grief, whatever. You can also email me privately if you wish :)

Good morning everyone! My name is Aimee, and I just joined your group last night. A little about myself: I'm 27 (going to be 28 this Saturday), married, and I don't have any children yet. I live in Ohio. I joined WW on July 2nd and have lost a little over 35 pounds so far. I'm hoping to make 50 pounds by Christmas, but if I don't, I'm not going to worry over it. The weight will still come off in January if I hit my personal goal or not. :) I look forward to getting to know everyone here, and thanks for letting me join your group. *hugs* Aimee 277.4/242/135 OP since 7/02/2001
