Guest guest Posted March 15, 2004 Report Share Posted March 15, 2004 1955 - 2004 Monte L. Christiansen, 48, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Aledo United Methodist Church. Burial: Aledo-Brown Cemetery, Aledo. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aledo United Methodist Church or the Aledo Fire Department. Monte L. Christiansen was born Nov. 12, 1955, in Shelbyville, Ill., to Marvin LeRoy and Marjorie Lucille Swim Christiansen. He served in the U.S. Air Force, on active duty until 1986, and then retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1999. Monte was raised in Iowa. He lived in Michigan, England and Georgia before moving to Aledo in 1986. Mr. Christiansen was the former owner and operator of the Pizza Depot in Aledo and had worked for the past six years with the County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the Aledo and Brock-Dennis volunteer fire departments. Monte was most recently serving as vice president of the Aledo Fire Department. Mr. Christiansen was an active member of Aledo United Methodist Church. He was known by many and will be missed by all. Survivors: Wife of 26 years, Pam Christiansen of Aledo; daughter, Kellie Christiansen; son, Ian Christiansen; sister, Marita Irvine of Galva, Ill.; brothers, Mike Christiansen of Quebec, Canada and Marty Christiansen of Granbury; and numerous other family members and friends.
