Guest guest
, Sounds like its entirely possible that this is die off. Symptoms can include alot of what you are describing. Every child is different of course so its hard for us to tell. In the past has your son been OK with nuts? When we first started we mostly had crabby, negative behavior. I read on the boards that activated charcoal can help with die off. For us it was night and day different! you can buy it at a local HFS or Kirkman sells it as well. We put one in his juice in the AM and he never complained about the taste. Good luck to you and try and hang on. In our case it has been soooooooooo worth it. mom to Baxter ASD gfcf 2 yrs SCD 10 weeks

(mom to > PDD-NOS, SCD 5 days) Hi , You did a nice job of describing die-off - that's exactly it - worse bms and worse behavior. The bad bugs are starving inside his tiny body and they are not happy about it. As they die, they release toxins that make his symptoms worse. The good news is, they are going! Some people actually relish these symptoms - may sound strange, but when they know that something good is coming - they can look at the bad in a different way. Are you seeing ANY sort of improvement as well? Your baby is coming back! Meanwhile, how about some nice epsom salt baths and some activated charcoal? Think of him as having a cold or something and give him lots of TLC. He feels icky! I've been through it myself, with and with myself. You and are going to make it! Let us know how things go today. I can't give you a timeline on the die-off, but most people see it subside in a few days. Take care! I did give an epsom salt bath this evening, but was not aware of the activated charcoal. I will purchase it right away! As far as the rest of the day, was TERRIBLE! MAJOR tantrum in public, mean to his friends and even made a small bm in his pants!(has been trained for a year and a half now!!!) He is even hitting himself and screaming ouch that hurts! Sigh....I really do hope this ends fast. We see our DAN doctor tomorrow and I will discuss this with him. Life is not easy right now. Constant tantrums.....BAD GUYS GO AWAY!!! Thank you, (mom to SCD days, gf/cf almost 2 years, PDD-NOS)
