Guest guest
I took T3 only for about 5 months, then tried to switch back to Armour. I did not get tested to check RT3 (I highly recommend that you test first), but was feeling great! In the end, it was NOT a good idea for me to switch back. My body still wanted to make RT3, even though it had cleared (by symptoms). I’d stay on it a while longer and definitely get tested. Just know, if there is some underlying issue (infection, liver issue, whatever), when you go back to Armour, your RT3 will just go up again. Not that you have those issues, but just be aware. It took me 6 months to straighten myself back out after trying to go back to Armour. I’m going to stay on T3 forever. I don’t know if I’ll ever switch back! Just my experience! My doctor would never request bloodwork until another year when I go back. He did NOTHING for my RT3..said it was fine!

Guest guest
So I'm looking at two months in this room. Has anyone else had to go through this. I was thinking about getting labs done Monday to see where I am. I can't get out of bed. So you're saying I won't get energy until my t4 clears, doesn't the t3 kind of kick in some time to give some energy. Is anyone else in bed while going through this. I don't read anyone else struggling like this. Guest guest
>doesn't the t3 kind of kick in some time to give some energy If your adrenals can cope you should get to the stage of feeling a lot better on the T3 before all RT3 clears as long as you can tolerate the dose needed. That depends on adrenals and electrolytes among other things. Nick
Guest guest
>I have a question. I have been on T3 only for about 9 weeks to clear RT3 (ratio was 10.7) and wondered if I can just go back to Armour now or do I need to get blood checked? 9 weeks might be enough for it to clear in the blood but the chances are it hasn't in the receptors. the recommendation is to stay on T3 only for at least 12 weeks. Blood tests tell you what's happening in the blood, not at cellular level. If you are taking a fair dose of T3, say 75 or over, then RT3 will undoubtedly clear, there won't be any T4 and hence nothing to make RT3 from. Guest guest
> I posted labs before when Val told me my ratio (10.7) but I have not had any more lab work done. Just thinking you need to know what caused the RT3 in the first place before you go back to Armour Dorothy
Guest guest
How can I find out what caused my RT3? I will continue on T3 only for a while longer. I did feel better on T3 only. The only thing is my resting heartrate is normally around 100 or a little over so when I go walking for exercise my heartrate goes up to 190! I've known about this for 15+ years but just thought it was normal for me. Any thoughts would be appreciated. > > 9 weeks might be enough for it to clear in the blood but the chances > are it hasn't in the receptors. > > the recommendation is to stay on T3 only for at least 12 weeks. > > Blood tests tell you what's happening in the blood, not at cellular > level. > > If you are taking a fair dose of T3, say 75 or over, then RT3 will > undoubtedly clear, there won't be any T4 and hence nothing to make RT3 > from. > > Nick >
Guest guest
For a heart rate that high RESTING (the other doesnt; count when trying to adjust hormones) you need to look at electrolytes as well as thyrodi and ferritin and cortisol. the frritin and cortils are the most common causes of Rt3 that I have seen as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
>Val, when I posted my cortisol levels you said they look almost exactly like yours did 3 years ago, so I have been on 30mg. of HC since April. I have never had my ferritin tested so maybe that's what I need to do now. I have also been doing salt but not regularly so I'll keep that up. > For a heart rate that high RESTING (the other doesnt; count when trying > to adjust hormones) you need to look at electrolytes as well as thyrodi > and ferritin and cortisol. the frritin and cortils are the most common > causes of Rt3 that I have seen as well. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
