Guest guest
I just emaild ABC and told them my thoughts and that they need to do a show on dietary intervention and how thousands are helped and that getting the word out may help thousands more. I also emailed the ARI website. Hope it works. Guest guest
I wish every mom and dad here whose child has been helped would do the same. i also think the doctors from the DAN Conference would contact Dr. and Dr. Morrow the other doctors who commented on the ABC web link about autism therapy. We have been overlooked too long. Guest guest
I emailed abc as well, I think we all should. Maybe if a large number of us do, they will do a story. >>> becca.galloway@... 04/23/04 01:08AM >>> I just emaild ABC and told them my thoughts and that they need to do a show on dietary intervention and how thousands are helped and that getting the word out may help thousands more. Guest guest
Thank you Becca. I am hoping that some of the doctors from the DAN Conference will comment on this as their word would also bear some authority. I do need to reiterate that my message was in support of SCD. GF is mentioned in the links on ABC but there is no mention of SCD. The science of SCD restricts certain foods allowed on GF and although we are both under the umbrella of dietary intervention, it is the elimination of the disaccharides that makes SCD distinctive, unique and very effective. If you noticed, candy and cookies were used in ABA therapy to reinforce behaviors. We can assume they were not the sort we use for SCD. SCD used with ABA therapy may have made a difference to the Augier family. I wonder if they are even aware of SCD. Sometimes I feel we are shouting a message from behind sound proof glass.
