Guest guest
Hi, everyone, 2 days ago, I just started intro SCD diet for ASD for my 6-year old with autism and myself. I decided to join my child because I have gluten and lactose intolerance myself and very curious to see if SCD can help improve my conditions as well. My child has not shown any die off or any behavioral change as of yet. However, I had terrible headache right after dinner last night and continued through the night. I could not sleep much because I had diarrhea and vomiting episodes. Once that subsided, I went back to sleep. I wonder if this is a nasty flu or real die off. This morning, I still feel slight lingering headache but not as bad. Since I am very new, I have some nagging question. For the last 20months, my child was on 20 food items elimination diet coupled with 4day rotation diet. She showed IgG reacions for all 20 foods prior to this intervention. Gluten and Casein are part of elimination which started before other 18 items were eliminated. She is also on various vitamin and supplement regimen for the last 20 months under the guidance of DAN! (Defeat Autism Now) physician. Though she showed remarkable strides in language acquisition after 2weeks into GFCF diet, my husband and I feel she is now " stuck " . So we are willing to try SCD. However, since she was off eggs and milk for so long, I am very nervous and reluctant about putting them back on her diet. Is 24hour fermented yogurt so differrent in nature from fluid cow's milk to the point where you can introduce it again? My child showed +3 IgG reactions to both egg white and egg yolk a year ago. What shall I do about this? Obviously, without yogurt, dry curd cheese, and eggs, much of recipes in the BTVC book is not helpful for me. Dairy free and egg free SCD were briefly mentioned on website but I wonder if gelatin also works for baking. Please guide me on this. Has anybody experienced enough recovery from food allergy and leaky gut to go on to try chelation therapy? If so, please let me know, because that is what I am shooting for. Guest guest
Chelation and SCD Some of our list members chelate and do SCD at the same time. They find that there is more progress from chelation if you combine it with SCD. Other list members wait until their child's gut is healed to chelate. We also have list members who use SCD combined with vitamin C as a natural chelating method. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mariko asked: Has anybody experienced enough recovery from food allergy and leaky gut to go on to try chelation therapy?
